Mazaba Restaurant nació de la fe, la familia y el deseo de crear algo más grande que el éxito — un lugar lleno de corazón, tradición y autenticidad.
Fundado por Misael Mazaba y su esposa Anabel Hernández, Mazaba representa su visión compartida de traer los verdaderos sabores de México a su comunidad, con platillos preparados desde cero y servidos con dedicación.
Misael llegó a Estados Unidos a la edad de quince años, impulsado por el mismo sueño que ha traído a muchos — el sueño americano. Con esfuerzo, largas horas de trabajo y una gran determinación, adquirió experiencia en diferentes cocinas de la ciudad, aprendiendo cada aspecto del mundo restaurantero. Su dedicación y creatividad lo llevaron a conocer a otros que compartían su sueño de emprender, y juntos fundaron Tsunami Restaurant un concepto que creció hasta tener tres exitosos restaurantes localizados en

Aunque Misael estaba orgulloso de haber ayudado a construir esa empresa, en su corazón sentía el deseo de crear algo más personal — un restaurante basado en la fe, la familia y las raíces mexicanas. De ese sueño nació Mazaba Restaurant.
El lugar donde hoy se encuentra Mazaba tiene su propia historia: antes fue un querido restaurante polaco y, más tarde, Camacho’s Mexican Restaurant, ambos recordados con cariño por la comunidad. Cuando el local quedó disponible, Misael y Anabel vieron la oportunidad de continuar esa tradición de buena comida y hospitalidad bajo un nuevo nombre: Mazaba.
Hoy, Mazaba Restaurant es símbolo de perseverancia y propósito — un espacio donde se sirven salsas caseras, recetas auténticas y un ambiente familiar. Cada platillo honra sus raíces, su fe y su firme creencia de que la tradición vive en cada plato.

Misael came to the United States at just fifteen years old, driven by the same dream that has brought so many others — the American Dream. Through hard work, long hours, and a relentless spirit, he built his experience in kitchens across the city, learning every aspect of the restaurant industry. His dedication and creativity eventually led him to meet others who shared his dream of entrepreneurship, and together, they launched Tsunami Restaurant — a concept that grew into three successful locations located in:

While Misael took great pride in helping build that company, his heart yearned for something deeper. He wanted a restaurant that wasn’t just about business, but about faith, family, and heritage — something that truly represented who he and Anabel are. From that dream, Mazaba Restaurant was created.
The space that now houses Mazaba has a story of its own — once home to a beloved Polish restaurant, and later Camacho’s Mexican Restaurant, both respected local spots that eventually closed their doors. When that opportunity arose, Misael and Anabel saw not just a building, but a chance to continue the tradition of good food and community under a new name: Mazaba.
Today, Mazaba Restaurant stands as a symbol of perseverance and purpose — offering homemade salsas, authentic recipes, and a welcoming atmosphere where every guest is treated like family. Here, every dish honors their roots, their faith, and their unwavering belief that tradition truly lives on every plate.
